β
Realized Volatility β not Implied Volatility.
This shows how much the stock actually moved. Your broker's IV will be higher β that gap is normal.
Realized Volatility (RV)
What the stock actually did β calculated from daily High/Low/Open/Close using the Garman-Klass estimator. Backward-looking. This is what we show.
Implied Volatility (IV)
What the options market expects the stock to do β derived from live option prices using Black-Scholes. Forward-looking. What your broker shows. Requires options chain data we don't have access to for free.
Volatility Risk Premium (VRP)
IV β RV = VRP. This is almost always positive because option sellers demand compensation for uncertainty. A VRP of 10β15 points is normal. Large VRP β sell premium. Small VRP β buy premium may offer better value.
Vol Rank (this chart)
Where current RV sits vs its own 1-year high and low. 0% = at 1yr low. 100% = at 1yr high. When RV Rank is high, IV is usually also elevated β use your broker to confirm before selling premium.

Build the thesis
Stock Direction and IV Direction are the primary drivers. Current price and earnings date are auto-populated from market data.
Stock DirectionYour directional outlook for the stock over your chosen time horizon. Primary driver of strategy selection.
IV DirectionYour expectation for Implied Volatility going forward. Contracting = sell premium. Expanding = buy premium or use calendars.
Current PriceAuto-populated from market data on Scan. Edit if needed β a green border means it was auto-filled.
Price TargetWhere you expect the stock to reach by end of your time horizon. Determines move size: Small <3%, Moderate 3β8%, Large >8%. This is not a strike price. For a Bull Put Spread, the short put strike goes near support β not at the target. The target tells the engine how far you expect price to move, which helps select the right structure type.
SupportKey support level you identified on the chart. Used by the AI to validate your level against historical price action and calculate downside risk/reward.
ResistanceKey resistance level you identified on the chart. AI cross-checks this against your target price β placing your target at resistance is a structural conflict worth knowing before entering.
Time HorizonHow long you plan to hold the trade. Short (0β14 days): fast decay trades. Medium (15β45 days): main working zone. Long (45+ days): slower thesis, debit spreads.
Next Earnings DateAuto-populated on Scan. Compared against your time horizon to flag if earnings falls within your trade window.
